A mainland man who pawned a fake gold chain for HK$12,000 last month went to the same pawnshop in Infante D. Henrique on Tuesday to pawn another gold chain, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Choi Iok Kin said at a regular press conference yesterday.
Choi said that the suspect surnamed Yu came to Macau last month and on the instructions of a friend hocked a gold chain at the same pawn shop in the city centre for which the friend paid him 1,000 yuan. When Yu had entered Macau last month, he used another person’s passport to pass the immigration checkpoint.
After committing the crime last month, he went back to the mainland.
