Mainlander dies of heart attack after brawl in illegal inn: police

A 47-year-old male mainlander who died on Tuesday morning after an argument which deteriorated into a brawl with two male compatriots in a residential unit used as an illegal inn in Taipa was confirmed by a pathologist yesterday morning to have died of acute myocardial infarction, according to a Judiciary Police (PJ) statement yesterday afternoon.

Consequently, the death case does not involve a criminal offence, yesterday’s PJ statement said.

Myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle, according to Wikipedia.
