A total of 6,126 offences by taxi drivers were recorded last year, an 11.6 percent increase from 2017, the Public Security Police (PSP) announced on its website yesterday.
The annual taxi violation figures for last year were announced in the police’s 2018 traffic statistics uploaded on their website yesterday.
According to the website, 62.8 percent (3,846) of the 6,126 cases concerned overcharging, while 21.8 percent (1,336) were about cabbies refusing to pick up passengers.
