The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from Hong Kong in the early hours of Sunday for setting fire to two cars parked in the car park of Block 9 of the luxury residential estate Star River Windsor Arch in Taipa, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon said during a special press conference yesterday.
Leng said that the suspect was hired by someone in Hong Kong to come to Macau to set fire to the two cars for a “fee” of HK$20,000.
Leng identified the suspect as a 26-year-old surnamed Lai a construction worker from Hong Kong.
