The number of visitor arrivals dropped by 1.2 percent year-on-year in February despite the mainland’s week-long Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday during that month, according to figures released by the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) yesterday.
This year, the CNY fell on February 8. It fell on February 19 last year.
However, visitor arrivals rebounded by 8.1 percent month-to-month to 2.54 million in February.
