The mid-term findings of a survey have found that local pupils’ family situation affects their interpersonal development as they step into civil society, the General Association of Chinese Students of Macau (AECM) announced yesterday.

The association held a press conference at the U-go Centre about the findings of the survey yesterday.

According to AECM Executive Committee Vice President Daniel Ieong Kuan Pui, the aim of the study is to analyse pupils’ family problems which could affect their interpersonal development in society, such as children from single-child families, or children with shift-working parents, or children who are being looked after by their grandparents.
