The Public Prosecution Office (MP) said in a statement yesterday that due to insufficient evidence it has shelved the alleged sexual abuse case at the private D. José da Costa Nunes Kindergarten.
The statement added that the Public Prosecution Office can, however, re-launch investigations into cases that have been shelved.
On May 10 last year, the Portuguese-language daily Hoje Macau broke the news about the alleged sexual abuse at D. José da Costa Nunes Kindergarten in Avenida de Sidónio Pais, a kindergarten owned and run by the Macanese Education Promotion Association (APIM).The Judiciary Police confirmed later that day that they were investigating the alleged case.
