Warm wood and cold steel sculptures of people in common postures created by Taiwanese artist Ju Ming, famous for his bronze masterpieces of people in taichi poses, are currently on display for public viewing free of charge at MGM Cotai.

The “Celebrating Life – Ju Ming Living World Sculpture Selling Exhibition” features the sculptor’s work based on his observations of human relationships, drawing inspiration from the vibrant multi-cultural environment in New York in the early 1980s where he continued his studies in art.

Born in 1938, Ju apprenticed to a woodcarver as a teenager, according to Wikipedia. Ju developed his skill and applied it to a range of media, including bronze, Styrofoam, ceramics, and stainless steel. He found fame in the 1970s with his monumental taichi sculptures, which have been exhibited abroad.
