Macau’s electric power utility CEM says its average service availability index (ASAI) reached 99.998 percent last year, “allowing CEM to take the lead worldwide in terms of the power supply service level.”
The figure was released by CEM Executive Committee Chairman Bernie Leong Wa Kun during a Spring Festival media lunch at MGM in Nape on Friday.
The ASAI is the ratio of the total number of customer hours that service was available during a given period of time to the total customer hours demanded, also called an electric power utility’s service reliability index.
