A total of 57,246 people were employed full-time by Macau’s gaming sector at the end of last year, a year-on-year- growth of 1.1 percent, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.
The sector employed about 14.5 percent of the city’s labour force of 394,900 at that time.
The number of dealers (croupiers) rose by 1.1 percent to 24,719 at the end of last year. Dealers accounted for 43.1 percent of all gaming sector employees.
