Concerning Monday’s crash between a motorcycle and a car in Coloane, the police do not rule out the possibility that the motorcyclist was engaging in illegal motor racing when the accident happened, Public Security Police (PSP) spokesman Cheong Heon Fan said during a regular press conference yesterday.

According to the police announcement on Monday, the crash happened outside the Macau Golf & Country Club and the Grand Coloane Resort in Estrada de Hac Sá on Monday afternoon, when the motorcyclist was riding along the two-way road on the hillside while the car was leaving the resort and entering the road.

According to the police, the male car driver is a non-resident worker from the mainland. The police said on Monday that there was no indication that the car driver, who is allowed to drive in Macau in a private capacity, was illegally working as a professional driver when the accident happened.
