The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a local man on Monday night for assaulting his estranged wife’s boyfriend during a dispute over the separated couple’s two daughters, PJ spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Choi said the suspect is a 46-year-old man surnamed Zan. He told the police that he is unemployed. The victim is a 52-year-old man surnamed Lei who told the police that he is businessman. The two men are local residents.
According to Choi, both told the police that they know each other. Zan and his wife have been living separately for over two years. Lei later became Zan’s wife’s boyfriend. However, the woman never filed for a divorce, Choi added.
