Macau logs fewest cold days since 1952: observatory

Just 18 days with a temperature at or below 12.5 degrees Celsius were recorded in 2018, the fewest number of cold days of any year since 1952, the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) said in a report yesterday.

In its Climate Review for Winter 2018, the bureau said that the Macau’s winter temperature last year had broken several historical records.

According to the bureau’s statistics, the number of cold days in the winter last year amounted to just 18, the fewest number of days annually with the lowest temperature at or below 12.5°C since 1952, breaking the record low of 20 cold days in the winters of 1986 and 2016.
