A casino dealer was arrested on Tuesday for stealing casino chips from the betting table when he was working, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Choi, the 44-year-old suspect surnamed Hong is a local resident. He told the police that he has worked as a dealer for over four years in a casino in Nape.
The theft happened at around 7 p.m. on Monday. Hong stole two HK$10,000 chips when he was working at the “big-and-small” table, Choi said.
