Local group Kai Fong urged the government to increase the number of accessible facilities during a Neighbourhood Forum yesterday, aiming to make life more convenient for the disabled and also to encourage residents to use public transport or to walk in order to promote “green commuting”.

The forum was hosted by the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM), commonly known as “Kai Fong”, at its Horta e Costa Office yesterday. It was attended by three guest speakers from three different neighbourhood communities and an audience of nearly 20.

Yesterday’s focus of the forum was on accessible facilities in the city, such as pedestrian systems.
