The Public Security Police (PSP) arrested a 50-year-old local man on Monday for touching the buttocks of a woman walking in a street in Areia Preta district last week, a PSP spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect surnamed Che told the police that he is the owner of a local engineering and construction company.
When the 28-year-old local woman was walking near the headquarters of the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) in Avenida do Dr. Francisco Vieira Machado at around 8 p.m. last Friday, someone – Che – suddenly touched her buttocks from behind, the spokesperson said, adding that the victim tried to stop the man and asked him about the incident but he ignored her and ran into a nearby building.
