A 32-year-old local woman has come down with measles after visiting the city of Jiangmen in Guangdong province, pushing the total number of measles cases reported in Macau to 33 so far this year, the Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday.
Jiangmen lies some 60 kilometres north of Macau.
According to the statement, the woman, who works at StarWorld Hotel, came down with a fever last Friday night and then sought treatment at a clinic – Kon Chi Medical Centre – in Fai Chi Kei last Saturday.
