Culture Hall to showcase local publications

Culture Hall, an novel art-space in a centenarian traditional Chinese building located down an alley called Beco de Felicidade (“Lane of Bliss”), plans to provide the public with a combination of leisure and reading, and also wants to become a platform to exhibit local publications on a global stage by participating in the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) in August, its representatives said yesterday.

Culture Hall representatives held a press conference at their book shop about their business model and their collection of local books and other publications published in Macau.

Culture Hall Chairman Wu Tat Chong told reporters that the hall’s business comprises publication planning, book editing, proofreading and book promotions, adding that the bookshop has helped various local institutions, associations and also individual authors publish more than 30 books and 30 journals and magazines so far.
