Local boxer looking for 6th win, in HK on Sunday

Up-and-coming local pugilist Cheong Lap Cheong will be looking for his 6th win in his 6th professional fight in the “1st Asian Professional Boxing Championship” at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday.

Cheong (5 wins, no losses and 4 KOs), who is currently the OPBF (Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation) Youth Champion, which he won during the “Lifetime Boxing Fight 1” card at Wynn Palace Grand Theatre in Cotai on December 31 last year, will be up against Muhammad Wahid (4 wins, 1 loss and 1KO) of Indonesia.

The event is being staged by Hong Hong’s DEF Promotions and features pugilists from Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, the mainland, the Philippines, and Taiwan.
