The Judiciary Police (PJ) and their mainland counterparts announced yesterday that they busted in a joint operation on Tuesday a cross-border criminal organisation which ran a prostitution racket and fake base stations in Macau for at least a year
PJ officers arrested 23 suspected gang members in Macau, while 32 suspects were arrested in various regions on the mainland, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.
All the suspects – male and female – arrested in Macau are mainlanders, Ho said.
Various items of evidence, including devices for fake base station operations, two “mobile” fake base stations hidden in two suitcases, and condoms, are displayed in a pressroom of the Judiciary Police (PJ) headquarters in Zape yesterday. Photo: Iong Tat Choi
