Two Indonesian pickpockets were arrested for stealing HK$133,000 in cash from a mainland tourist in the city centre on Thursday, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Chan Wun Man said in a special press conference on Saturday.
The two 35-year-old suspects held valid tourist visas. One suspect is surnamed Wahidin, who claimed to be unemployed, and the other is surnamed Nurhisan, who told the police that he is a car spare parts salesman, according to Chan.
The male victim is in his 50s who came to Macau with his girlfriend. He withdrew HK$130,000 in cash from a bank in Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Chan said.
