A local group launched a series of events yesterday promoting the idea that eco enzyme made from kitchen waste can save the planet.
The opening ceremony for the “Eco Enzyme Saves the Earth” series was held at the Family Service Centre of the Women’s General Association of Macau (commonly known as Fu Luen) in Rua da Barca yesterday.
Christopher Chang Wan Chong, the director-general of the China-Macau Youth Development and Promotion Association (CMYDPA), told reporters on the sidelines of the ceremony the biggest aim of the series of events was to promote the use of eco enzyme that can be easily made from kitchen waste. He also said he hoped this kind of event would encourage people to make eco enzyme at home to ease the burden on the city’s solid waste incineration plant.
