The police arrested a mainlander for stealing his friend’s valuables on two occasions in a hotel guestroom in Zape last week, Judiciary Police (PJ) Lai Man Vai said in a special press conference yesterday.
According to Lai, the 36-year-old suspect is surnamed Zhu. He told the police he works as a furniture carpenter on the mainland. The male victim is 46 years old.
The thefts happened on Wednesday and Friday respectively. The victim reported the thefts to the police on Friday evening, according to Lai.
