According to a statement provided by the Macau Customs Service yesterday, customs officers seized a quantity of raw chicken, fish and duck that had not passed health inspections from two people acting suspiciously as they entered Macau.
The statement said that one of the suspects had chicken meat strapped around his calves and had hidden chicken giblets in his bag. The other suspect had raw fish and skinned ducks in his car.
The Customs Service said in the statement that in order to clamp down on meat smuggling it has expanded its operation to stop the contraband of raw meat.
