The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) said in a statement that DSEJ Acting Director Leong Vai Kei pointed out yesterday that the model of Finnish education is world-famous and that the Nordic country’s educational reforms have been the subject of great attention in the education field globally.

The statement also quoted Leong as saying that Finland has adopted an interdisciplinary and phenomenon-based learning (PBL) approach, enabling the country’s schoolchildren to have a great “real life” learning experience.

According to the statement, Leong made the remarks in her opening speech at yesterday’s “An Overview of Education in Finland” lecture on the DSEJ premises in Nam Van.
