From Thursday to Saturday Wynn Palace Cotai was home to the IBF’s (International Boxing Federation) 36th IBF Annual Convention which culminated in a four-fight event on Saturday. Local boxer Alex Ao Hon Lek got proceedings underway in just the second professional fight of his career.
The fight night went under the banner “Return with Glory Ultimate Confrontation”, which took place at the Wynn Palace Grand Theatre, consisting of four bouts with pugilists from Australia, Germany, the Chinese mainland, Macau, and the Philippines. The main fight of the night was the IBF World Light Heavyweight Title Eliminator IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight Title Defence between the mainland’s Meng Fanlong and Germany’s Adam Deines.
Macao Boxing House’s Ao was stepping into the ring for his second professional fight against debutant Bai Xinlong from the mainland in the IBF Featherweight International Contender Fight.
