A mainlander engaged in illegal money-exchange activities was arrested on Monday for stealing casinos chips from a client when he was gambling, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a regular conference yesterday.
According to Lei, the 45-year-old suspect surnamed Zhang is from the mainland. He told the police that he sells promo chips in local casinos. Zhang allegedly had five accomplices, all of them mainlanders. The accomplices were still at large at the time of the press conference yesterday, Lei said.
Lei did not reveal the surname, age and occupation of the male victim.
