A physician from Hong Kong was arrested on Sunday for trying to rape a male friend, who he had drugged, in a hotel in Cotai in December, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said yesterday.
Speaking during a regular press briefing, the spokesperson said the victim, a 57-year-old Hong Kong man, and the suspect travelled to Macau with a few friends in early December.
While they were partying at a karaoke, the spokesperson said the suspect handed four capsules to the victim, which he claimed was medicine to protect the victim’s liver from being damaged by alcohol. Due to the suspect’s profession as a doctor, the victim believed him.
This handout photo released by the Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday shows the hooded attempted rape suspect from Hong Kong posing in a pressroom at the PJ headquarters in Zape.
