The executive deputy director of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions’ (FAOM) Youth Committee, Lou Io Wa, told a press conference at FAOM’s service centre in Rua do Campo yesterday that the committee will provide a workplace training programme for young people, with the aim of enhancing their personal competitiveness and letting them understand the current workplace trends.
The federation is widely known by its Cantonese name, Gung Luen. The service centre is officially called “Stage”.
Lou said that the committee would launch the workplace training programme this summer for the first time, adding he believed that the programme could help young people to develop a good work ethic and improve their professionalism at work.
