In celebration of selling luxury brand watches in Macau for three decades, Luck Hock Watch is holding the Patek Philippe New Products World Touring Exhibition at New Orient Landmark Hotel in Zape until this month.
The Macau Post Daily visited Luck Hock’s Patek Philippe Independent and Exclusive Corner yesterday, before the exhibition’s opening ceremony, to talk about the exhibition and why an old, established brand like Patek Philippe (PP) is still as relevant today as when it was established in Geneva in 1839.
Owl Wong Keng In, assistant manager at Luck Hock’s PP outlet said, “PP makes all parts of its watches [except the leather and rubber straps] by hand, every watch is hand polished using different techniques with each watch taking from four months to a year to complete depending on the number of complications in the watch. Also, because PP uses steel rather than gold the watches take three times longer to make. Actually, they are works of art.”
