A male scooter rider was seriously injured after crashing his vehicle into the back of a dump truck parked at the roadside of a roundabout in Cotai yesterday, the Public Security Police (PSP) said.
According to the police, the crash happened at around midday in Rotunda Marginal – a roundabout on the western shore of Cotai underneath the Lotus Flower Bridge which connects Cotai and Zhuhai’s Hengqin Island.
Firemen and paramedics rushed to the scene. The 20-year-old local rider, who suffered serious head injuries, was rushed to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for emergency treatment.
