The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has invited nine music and dance groups, including one from Jingzhou city in Hubei province and eight other groups from eight Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), to perform at Iao Hon Market Garden in Areia Preta and Feira do Carmo in Taipa on two weekends.
The performances are part of the second ‘Encounter in Macau – Arts and Cultural Festival between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries’ organised by the bureau.
Cultural Affairs Bureau official António Machado said the aim of the event was to educate the general public about Portuguese and Chinese traditional cultures.
