The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a Russian man last Saturday for withdrawing cash from ATMs across the city with fake bank cards, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a special press conference yesterday.

The Russian man surnamed Sergei is a suspected member of an East European gang using fake bank cards. The police believe that there is another suspect at large who came to Macau with Sergei and they carried out the crimes together, according to Ho.

Ho identified the suspect as a 30-year-old who told the police that he works as a driver in his country.
