A voter who took photos of a ballot with his or her mobile phone at the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM) polling station during last month’s election for the Chief Executive Election Committee was found guilty yesterday by the Court of First Instance (TJB) of aggravated disobedience, and was fined 15,000 patacas, the Court of Final Appeal (TUI) said in a statement yesterday.

The statement did not mention the gender of the voter. However, the voter was previously identified as a male by the Chief Executive Electoral Affairs Commission.

The election of 344 members of the 400-member Chief Executive Election Committee was held on June 16.
