The Workers’ Self-Help Union said yesterday the government should review the composition of the city’s labour affairs body and change its representation.
Several members of the small union, including its chairman Lei Kit Meng and president Wong Seng Wa, held a closed-door meeting with officials from the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) at the bureau yesterday.
Before the meeting, Wong told reporters the unionists would convey the concerns of local employees such as their job security worries due to the continuing downturn of the local economy.
