Ferry services between Macau and Shun Tak Centre in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island resumed service at around 6:15 a.m. yesterday, after they had been suspended at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday due to rioting in Sheung Wan by anti-government demonstrators that night.

The Macau Post Daily reported the suspension on its front page yesterday.

A staff member of one of the ferry operators told The Macau Post Daily last night he believed that it was the first time ever that the ferry service between the two cities needed to be suspended due to riots in Hong Kong.
