The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) have reached a consensus on the building materials to be used in the renovation of the internal structure of the heritage-listed Red Market, according to an IAM statement yesterday.
In the statement, the Municipal Affairs Bureau also said that it aimed to get the renovation project off the ground next year.
The Municipal Affairs Bureau first said in 2017 that it planned to renovate the Red Market to improve its facilities, such as by installing air conditioning, lifts and barrier-free facilities.
