A group of Pearl Horizon pre-sale flat buyers submitted a petition to the Judiciary yesterday, urging Court of Final Appeal President Sam Hou Fai to order local courts to give priority to all lawsuits involving the troubled residential project.

Speaking to reporters after handing in the group’s petition, Pearl Horizon Condominium Owners United Association Kou Meng Pok said his group hoped that all the lawsuits between the government and Polytex Corporation, the developer of the ill-fated Pearl Horizon project, could be resolved as soon as possible.

Kou said he didn’t want to “say too much” because he did not want the public to have the impression that the buyers are trying to interfere with judicial procedures.
