A dozen Seac Pai Van residents petitioned chief executive candidate Ho Iat Seng’s campaign office yesterday, urging him to stop the ongoing environmental assessment of two planned warehouses for hazardous materials near their homes and speed up the construction of a permanent warehouse in the land reclamation area known as Zone E1.

The residents handed their petition against the storage of hazardous materials near their homes yesterday afternoon to the official representative of Ho’s election campaign, former lawmaker Iau Teng Pio, at the campaign office on the 6th floor of Rodrigues Commercial Building in Avenida da Praia Grande.

Iau is an associate professor at the University of Macau’s (UM) Law Faculty.
