The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that Macau’s overall ovitrap index stood at 60.5 percent last month, slightly lower than the average amount of 66.2 percent recorded in the same months of previous years.
The statement was quick to add that the index last month was still rather high.
In the statement, the bureau said that Macau has recorded 12 imported cases of dengue fever so far this year, urging residents to maintain environmental hygiene and take anti-mosquito measures in order to eliminate mosquito breeding and prevent the spread of dengue fever.
