The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that it has confirmed this year’s 15th imported case of dengue fever.
According to the statement, the patient, a 25-year-old male mainlander, worked in the city of Sihanoukville in Cambodia from early July until August 25, when he returned to the city of Xiamen in Fujian province.
He came down with a fever, muscle pain and a headache last Friday. However, he visited Macau on Sunday, and when he was about to return to Xiamen via the local airport on Tuesday, he felt unwell and fainted, the statement said.
