Portuguese firework consultant Nuno Freitas and South Korean firework company managing director Chung Young-Mo said yesterday that their firework displays will be themed “fascination in a night of passion” for the Portuguese company and “born afresh in fireworks” for the South Korean company for their rival pyrotechnic displays on Friday that are part of the ongoing 30th Macau International Fireworks Display Contest.
Both made the remarks during a press conference organised by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) at Macau Tower’s Portuguese Tromba Rija Restaurant yesterday.
Freitas from Portugal’s Pirotecnia Minhota Limited told The Macau Post Daily that passion is the theme of his company’s display since the Portuguese people are capable of overcoming everything with “heartfelt passion”, adding that the music accompanying the fireworks would create “splendour during that beautiful night”.
