The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement on Saturday that it has confirmed this year’s 19th imported case of dengue fever.
According to the statement, the patient is a 22-year-old male tourist from Japan. The statement merely said that the man stayed in Avenida Doutor Mário Soares in Nam Van and did not say when he came to Macau. The statement did not say what kind of accommodation he was staying in.
The man came down with a fever, a headache and a rash last Monday. He went to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre for treatment on Thursday, the statement said. He was diagnosed with Grade II dengue fever by the bureau’s Public Health Laboratory on Friday.
