The Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday that it has confirmed this year’s 20th imported case of dengue fever.
According to the statement, the patient is a 31-year-old female tourist from the Philippines. The statement merely said that the woman stayed in Calçada da Vitória – a sloped street in the Guia Hill area – and did not say when she came to Macau. The statement did not say what kind of accommodation she stayed in.
The woman came down with a fever, muscle and joint pain, and a headache last Wednesday. She went to the private Kiang Wu Hospital for treatment on Saturday, the statement said. She was diagnosed with Grade III dengue fever by the bureau’s Public Health Laboratory yesterday.
