About 700 pupils, teachers, government representatives and guests were invited to watch the patriotic film “My People, My Country” on National Day yesterday at Alegria Theatre (commonly known as Wing Lok Theatre).
Organised by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ), 6,000 pupils and teachers have been invited to watch the film in nine sessions starting this month, according to a statement by the bureau.
DSEJ Director Lou Pak Seng told reporters after the inauguration ceremony the aim of the film was to strengthen local pupils’ “recognition” of the nation and their sense of belonging to the country. He added that the bureau would consider adding more patriotic education materials for pupils.
