27th occupational health & safety conference aims for better solutions: DSAL

About 450 participants comprising government officials, professionals, representatives of associations from the occupational health and safety sector, management personnel and guests from the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau have been invited to the four Chinese jurisdictions’ joint 27th Occupational Health and Safety Conference which aims to find better solutions to occupational health and safety (OHS) issues as well as promote the latest safety measures and different industries’ OHS development efforts, according to a statement by the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) yesterday.

Yesterday’s opening ceremony of the three-day conference at Studio City was chaired by Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac.

The conference is hosted by the Labour Affairs Bureau and Macau Construction Safety Association (ASCM) in conjunction with the China Occupational Safety and Health Association, Sino Steel Corporation Wuhan Safety & Environmental Protection Research Institute, Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Association, Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Council, Industrial Safety and Health Association, and the China Association of Work Safety.
