The Abandoned Animals Protection Association of Macau (AAPAM) announced yesterday that it will hold a protest march on Saturday next week as part of its continued fight for the protection of animals.

AAPAM Chairwoman Yoko Choi Wing Chi, Vice Chairwoman Josephine Lau Pui Chan and the group’s advisor Antonieta Manhao presided over a press conference at the association to announce the march.

Choi and Lau said the protest was aimed at putting pressure on lawmakers to finished their revision of a government-drafted bill on protecting animals as soon as possible.
