The Transport Bureau (DSAT) announced in a statement yesterday that 4.5 million public bus passengers were recorded during the mainland’s seven-day National Day Golden Week holiday period from October 1 to 7, a three percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The statement also said that the number of bus passengers a day hit a record high of 762,000 on October 4.

According to a previous DSAT statement, the new daily record replaced the previous record on May 2 this year, when 732,000 bus passengers were recorded.
