America’s Cheesecake Factory pays homage to Macau’s culinary delights by putting “Portuguese Chicken” onto the extensive menu of its local branch in Sands Cotai Central.
The famous “Portuguese Chicken” is a Macanese fusion dish, in which the chicken is prepared with a “Portuguese sauce” made with curry and coconut milk. Despite its name, the dish does not come from Portugal, neither does the sauce.
In the Cheesecake Factory version, the “Portuguese Chicken” gets a further fusion with American flavour, which is peanut sauce, and is served with golden crispy potatoes.
