The Judiciary Police (PJ) said that its officers did not show any bias when treating a case in which a schoolboy scrawled graffiti on a wall in Travessa da Paixão – a cultural heritage site next to the St. Paul’s Ruins landmark – late last month and another graffiti case in the alley confirmed by the authorities earlier this year, adding that the situations of the two cases were “completely different”.

The Judiciary Police issued a statement on the matter on Friday, saying that the police always carry out their law enforcement duties in strict adherence with the law.

Mário Ho ‘expressed his love’ to his future wife

The statement came after comments on online social networking sites, according to which the police appeared to show favour to the case confirmed by the authorities in May this year, in which a son of nonagenarian gaming mogul Stanley Ho Hung Sun and Angela Leong On Kei, Mário Ho Yau Kwan, scrawled graffiti on a wall in the alley last year. According to local media reports, Mário Ho drew graffiti on a wall in the alley to express his love for his then girlfriend, who he has meanwhile married, during a reality show programme last year.
